#3, most people here are probably Finns, European or worse. Of course we haven't ever seen a Wendy's commercial; until I saw this ad I had no idea Wendy's was specifically a *burger* joint, and I'm one of the very few over here who could have identified "Wendy's" as some kind of... place where you eat stuff.

Yeah, I'm from "worse" country and the only Wendy I could remember was that girl from South Park. Now I get that reference in her surname. Ho-ho.

Few people? I bet anyone in the world knows that Wendy is a fastfood restaurant, because they do commercial in alot of movies, and the whole ( ... )ing world is infected by the Americans = their movies are everywhere. :-P

US Culture for Europeans: Wendy's is a national fast food chain started by a charismatic orphan, Dave Thomas, who died in the last decade. The restaurant is notable for its square hamburgers, the iconic mascot Wendy (daughter of Dave), Dave starred in person in most of the commercials, and the franchise does not garner nearly as much hate as others like McDonalds and Taco Bell.

That said, this animation is unrealistic. In reality all of the plebian circles would be persecuting the square for being different and "acting smart".

I heard about Wendy but didn't know it was selling square bugger. What a surprise. I think it was very good if there were not a commercial, still good animation though.

US Culture for Europeans: Wendy's!
European culture for Americans: Da Vinci, Shakespeare, Bach, O-Zone, etc...
#10 - anon - 08/19/2009 - 15:30
#10 I really don't think O-Zone belongs in the same group with Da Vinci, Shakespeare or Bach...

I guess it makes sense. If hamburger joints are considered culture in the US, no wonder they're fat.

Teletubbies comes from Europe. Does that you're all retarded and gay colors?

I'm not sure if this goes for all movies, but in Demolition Man they recorded an eating scene twice, one at a Taco Bell (which didn't exist in europe at the time) and the other at a Pizza Hut (which did), these were then edited in for the appropriate market.

The only reason I know what Wendy's is is because references from pop culture.

Oh yeah, about the flash, loved it. :-D
