Somehow the author used a randomiser to determine what the trainers would say/do. so it is slightly different each time you watch it.

In reality, the one to first run out of PP would win (or if the other has more speed, but weaker def and atk, he'd lose) because then it starts using an attack that also damages itself. Went through E4 with this once.
